Just when you figure you're catching up - picked up an 8 GB Sandisk Compact Flash card for about $50 the other day.

But my friend is telling me about the new UMDA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) will download - with the right gear - about three times as fast as what I just bought (which is not a slow card, but....) He used these cards with a Firewire 800 reader and downloaded a ton of shots in almost no time at all - didn't even have a chance to go find a coffee.
