My favourite lens is a Nikon 17-35mm F2.8 ED. I really enjoy getting closer to the subject and show the environment.
Of course, being on a digital camera (Fuji s2Pro) there's a 1.5 multiplication factor from the sensor being smaller than regular 35mm film - so it acts as if its a 25 to 52 (or so) lens. There's wider available, but I haven't tried them yet. Maybe one day.
